My New Summer Trend Obsession

I am obsessed with maxi dresses lately! Last week, I purchased this one from T.J. Maxx and honestly was scared that it would be too tight on me. I have wanted to try the long maxi dress trend, and tie a cute little knot at the bottom, but honestly thought I would never look good in one. After I got a little Starbucks espresso in me, I was feeling pretty optimistic about trying one on and I went for it! As soon as I put it on, I was like “Oh yea, this is mine!” Normally, horizontal striped dresses are not flattering on me, but somehow this one worked. I did size up and purchased a large, just so I had a little breathing room in the tummy area. I have literally worn this dress too much and I know I will definitely be buying more soon. Since I got this maxi at T.J. MAXX, I cannot link the exact one (grr), BUT I link two very similar ones that are a cotton material just like this one, and one of them even has the slits on the side. The ones I linked are both sleeveless, but if you would rather have more coverage, just throw on a light wash or white distressed denim jacket and you are all set! So cute! I recently have been on the summer dress trend and will probably have a closet full of them by the end of summer, so stay tuned if you are as obsessed with summer dresses as me. In other news, I have not done an update on my dads progress in a while! He is doing so good, but like most stroke victims, he is still having challenges with the small things. It will take a while and we are harping to him about being patient, however he is ready to get back to his old self. With many prayers that we have prayed, we continue to see his strength come back and it is astonishing to see Gods work in progress. If you look to him in times of good and bad, he will amaze you…EVERYTIME!
