FAVE MAKEUP & WHAT I PURCHASED
~ NYX finishing powder: Love the airbrush finish effect that this powder has on the skin. My go-to drugstore powder. Does not cause flash back in photos or a white cast under the eye. Love this powder to bake under the eyes also
~ Makeup Revolution Baking Powder: I am excited to try this setting powder! I haven’t heard anything about it and was intrigued that it is specific for baking. I will post an update on if I am liking it or not…Stay tuned! UPDATE ON THE BAKING POWDER: Not a good one! I have oily skin and this powder just doesn’t seem to set my face. I apply so much just to get a smooth finish. If you are on the dryer side and don’t like a matte finish you might love this! However, for my skin I was not impressed.
~ Real Techniques Complexion Sponge: These complexion sponges are my absolute favorite! I am obsessed with how squishy they are, and how well they blend my concealer. Because I deal with a lot of redness, I do not think they work well for foundation:( I have not yet found a sponge that works well with covering my redness though! If you have suggestions, let me know!
~ L.A. Girl Pro Matte Foundation: I have heard great things about this foundation but have not tried it yet! I am super curious to see how well it mattes, because I am very oily. Also, I am interested to see how long it wears. I purchased the shade “Medium Beige”…Fingers crossed it isn’t too dark! I have been self-tanning and all of my other foundations I have are too light! I will update ya’ll on this foundation on how I am liking it! UPDATE ON FOUNDATION: Sadly, I did not like this foundation AT ALL…I actually returned it. The texture of the formula was very drying and patchy. I actually had spots on my face that had rubbed off through the first day of wearing it. Not a good one for me!
~ NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer: This is my favorite high end concealer so far. I normally get the shade “chantilly” and thinks it gives me a full coverage, bright effect to the under eye. I also like it for an eye shadow base.
~NYX High Def Concealer: The NYX HD concealer is a perfect dupe for the NARS creamy radiant concealer. If you are in the market for a drugstore concealer with great coverage…This one will do the trick! Only $5 too!
FAVE HAIR PRODUCTS
~Drybar Triple Sec 3-in-1 Spray: This is my absolute fave spray for many reasons. First, I LOVE the smell of this spray. It has a vanilla scent that makes your hair smell amazing even on day 3. I also enjoy the volume it gives without the sticky feeling of other volume sprays. Lastly, this spray gives you enough texture for any style you are going for!
~ Drybar Southern Belle Shampoo: I have not tried this shampoo, but I am really curious how it works! If y’all have tried this shampoo, let me know how you like it!
~ WET Brush: My fave brush ever! I used to have very tangly hair, and ever since I started using this brush, my hair hasn’t been tangly much since. I also love how well it brushes and doesn’t seem to damage my hair. I definitely recommend this brush!
~ NUME Megastar Straightener: This is the straightener I have used for over a year now, and I really like it! I have really thick hair and this one seems to straighten pretty fast without me having to go back over pieces of hair. I also don’t feel that it damages my hair as bad as some of the other ones Ive used!
