SHOP THIS OUTFIT
I am back from Houston, and wanted to share with y’all a real life “what I wore” and “what I brought” post! One thing that I am all about is looking cute and comfy even when traveling. I love throwing on comfy, oversized sweatshirts and a pair of jeans. I still feel cute, but also comfortable enough to nap! This look is also SO easy to recreate, and probably things that you can walk into your closet right now and find. Outfits like these are what makes staple pieces worth having, and they are perfect for mix and matching and layering. I found this sweatshirt while in New York a few months ago, and should have grabbed every color. This sweatshirt is going to be one that I live in once the weather cools down because of how cozy it it. I also twisted the front and tucked it in for a little something extra. In the “Shop This Outfit” gallery above, I also listed a pair of leopard sneakers that would have looked even cuter with this outfit, and honestly may need to be in my closet soon!
Alright, now on to what 4 practical essentials that I like to take with me on road trips!
Lightweight suitcase: Having a nice, lightweight suitcase is a must have for any trip. I have talked about this Calpak one in my packing for New York post, and have been really impressed with how it has held up. As always, you will get scratches from moving it around, but not as many as I expected. OH! And it’s not lying when it says it’s lightweight, I don’t have a hard time picking it up at all even with my 1000 pieces of clothing that I have stuffed it with! Haha!
Scrunchies: Great for throwing your hair up after a long drive. My hair is soo long, and being able to throw it up is extremely nice especially in the TX heat. I also love how scrunchies are big and don’t damage my hair.
Planners: My planner is from Plum Paper, and I this is the second planner I have gotten from them. Planners are great to have on trips because it allows you to really lay out and plan all that you have going on while little to no distractions. Plum paper has always been a fave of mine ever since I received my first planner! I love how you can customize them to your specific needs, plus the endless layouts to choose from. Highly recommend!
Snacks, Snacks, and more snacks: So I love food, and snacks are my weakness lol! For this trip, we got all of the goodies from cheese its, pasta chips, and ritz bits. My sister actually was on snack duty because I would have bought the Target snack isle if I was in charge. Whenever I road trip, I make sure we have snacks! Gotta have them, ya know!? And yes, it is a practical Essential!!!
