Happy Good Friday!! A few days ago, I posted a poll on my IG asking if yall would be interested in a few “date night in” ideas while we are in quarantine, and 99% of you said yes! Konnor and I teamed up on this post to create a few fun things to do for date night while at home. I hope these ideas are helpful, so that you and your man can get through these times together with a little positivity!
5 DATE NIGHT AT HOME IDEAS
1. BAKE: Ok, so Konnor and I actually love cooking and baking together anyways, but the more time we have had at home, the more experimental we have become with it. We recently gathered every sweet ingredient that we had in the house, and created our own version of chocolate peanut butter balls a few days ago. It was so much fun creating our own recipe together, and making a mess by the end of it all. LOL. A few days later, Konnor came to me and said “Let’s make chocolate covered edible cookie dough balls,” so that’s what we decided to do! It was super yummy, and again fun to try something different. Here is the recipe for the edible cookie dough if you want to make them too! We Highly suggest it!
2. PICNIC IN YOUR BACK YARD: This one sounds so fun! After you cook dinner or make your edible cookie dough, grab a blanket and head out into the backyard. This is perfect to relax and enjoy the outdoors! After dinner, wrap your date up by watching a movie or a few shows together after it gets dark.
3. TAKE A DRIVE: Technically, this one is not an “at home” date, but one that doesn’t involve going to a public place, so it counts right!? Haha! Konnor and I actually really recommend doing this often. So much of our day is spent working or tending to other things that it’s easy to loose some time for each other. We love hopping in the car and taking about an hour drive some evenings to talk and connect with each other!
4. PLAY GAMES: Pretty much any guy plays video games or some kind of game right!? Konnor has been begging me to play a video game with him for some time now, so I decided to go for it! We played a game on his computer and the whole game, I had no idea what I was doing. It was funny and pretty entertaining for us both. Then, Konnor purchases a VR headset which is a whole new level, and I actually like playing it😂.
5. SHOP FOR EACH OTHER: Spoiler alert for a blog post coming soon!! Konnor will be online shopping, and picking out an outfit for me in a future blog post. This was such a fun idea because I have always been curious what style he thinks I would look good in, and if it matches the style that I wear now. We will see what he chooses! For this date night idea, online shop for an outfit for each other while talking and learning about what each one of your styles are. You might be surprised what they actually like and don’t like! For example, I just KNEW Konnor would love Sperry shoes with ties…nope! He does not like them at all.🙈
