St. Moriz Self Tanner Review!

Self tanners can be a hit or a miss. I have tried a few different high end brands as well as less expensive products, and have not been impressed with any of them. My skin tone is very fair, and natural sun tanning just doesn’t work for me. I normally end up burned! Self tanning is really my only option to have bronze skin, so it is important to me that I find one that looks as natural as possible, and lasts longer than a week or so. When searching for a new tanner to try, I found St. Moriz in Target and was interested in trying them out. St. Moriz ended up asking if I wanted to work with them which was a no brainer since I was just about to purchase a few products to try! Below I dive into all the details you need to know about St. Moriz self tanning products, as well as my thoughts on how they work!

First off, I want to mention the price point of these products. Each one is less than $20! Another great thing about St. Moriz is that each self tanning product is vegan-friendly, cruelty free, and all are offered in a wide variety of skin tones and types!

REVIEW

Quick Tan Mousse: Impressive product! Little story: I actually used this one to touch up the “longer developing mousse” on my wedding day! It’s so difficult for me to self tan my back myself and I had left over tan lines from our beach vacation, so I definitely needed something to hide those lines. My mom simply tanned the areas that I missed, and within 4-6 hours, I was completely tan and smooth. This tanner is great for tanning quickly without waiting overnight, as well as touching up while still achieving a streak-less, smooth tan. Oh yea! the scent is fresh and does not smell like fake tanner at all. This is a HUGE plus for me!

10 Hour Clear Tanning Mousse: I refer to this one as the “longer developing mousse” simply because it is one to apply, sleep on and then wash off in the morning. I cannot rave enough about the natural shade it gives you. Like I said already, I am fair skinned. Really fair! Self tanners tend to look orange, green, or wayyy too dark for my skin tone however, this one seriously looks like bronzed skin! I was weary about the “medium/dark” shade, but I think it really complimented my fair skin.

Self Tanning Mitt: The holy grail tanning mitt! Don’t be fooled by the cheap tanning mitts you find that are pretty much only made of spongy material. This mitt is what I believe smoothed everything out for an even finish. The velvet side you use for application is super soft, and glides on the skin perfectly!

Face Tanning Oil Drops: Do you normally self tan your face? In the past I haven’t, but these little drops make it soo easy! You add a few drops to your moisturizer, and the tan gradually develops. There is no color guide, so you won’t have any transfer to sheets or clothing!

Exfoliating Skin Primer: This primer is another product that is a must have for self tanning application, and preps your skin for a smooth application. The exfoliation beads are very small, and are not rough on the skin at all! Finally, an exfoliation product that doesn’t leave your skin feeling irritated. Don’t you just hate the huge beads in some exfoliators that are so rough and leave your skin red and agitated? I used to dread using them before I self tanned!
