Dress: here ~ Shoes: old similar here ~ Bracelets: here and here
Happy Easter! I am a day late but I hope everyone had a wonderful Easter and got to spend time with family! Every holiday I get excited about the many traditions that go along with each of them like I mentioned in my last post, egg dying, and this year I decided to make a cake! My idea behind this cake was that it would be semi-healthy and a spring time cake. I was doing good with my ideas until I decided to make it a pound cake…there goes the “semi-healthy” part haha! I actually was skeptical of how it was going to look since I was trying to copy it from Pinterest and was expecting a “nailed it” moment! All of that said, it ended up looking pretty and tasting great, so I was extremely happy. Overall, the day was perfect with plenty of sunshine and relaxing family time.
On to the outfit! I ended up finding this dress last minute and was so scared that it would not fit, but I was lucky! I adore the light blue and off white colors together which luckily looked good with my pale skin. The fit is flowy and the right length on me (I am 5’5) without feeling uncomfortable. I finished off the look with these super comfy wedges that are Giani Bini and my Alex and Ani bracelets that are simple, yet perfect for the style of this dress. Sadly, I could not find these exact shoes, however I recommend anything Giani Bini because of how comfortable they tend to be. This brand of shoe is usually made with comfortable padding on the soul of their shoes, and made with very soft leather material. In the first picture my “twin” sister Kristin (always looking adorable) is wearing a dress from a local boutique “Gaudy me” with Giani Bini heels!
*This cake is a traditional pound cake with cool whip and strawberry topping*
Lots of Love, Kaitlyn
